Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and if you provide it, your first and last name.
• Your color-analysis photo: the selfie you provide for color analysis is processed by AI and then deleted from our storage immediately after the analysis finishes. We do not keep the image — we retain only the results: your season, undertone, contrast, palette colors, and the written notes.
• Wardrobe photos: photos of your closet items are kept as part of the cataloging feature, so your pieces stay visible in your wardrobe and outfits. You can delete them at any time from Settings.
• Style data: your color palette results, wardrobe items, style preferences, saved outfits, and occasions you tell us you're dressing for.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app, to help us improve it.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the service: to analyze your coloring and generate your palette, to catalog your wardrobe, to generate outfit and styling recommendations, to send you account-related emails (like sign-up confirmation and password resets), and to understand how the app is used so we can make it better.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us run the app — for example, our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and the AI services that power color analysis and styling recommendations. These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and your choices

Your color-analysis photo is deleted automatically and immediately once the analysis is complete — this happens on its own, and you don't have to request it. Only the palette results and notes remain.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. When you do, your wardrobe photos, wardrobe items, palette results, and preferences are permanently removed from our systems.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including access controls that restrict your data to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Palette + Pieces is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to receive a copy of it. You can exercise most of these rights directly in Settings, or by contacting us.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use basic session storage to keep you signed in and to remember certain preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
